C.A.R. Wins Gold Medal for First in Forms

On July 24th, the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) made new forms available to help real estate professionals, buyers and sellers navigate what I call “the new normal” of real estate.

In a companywide Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties meeting with C.A.R. Assistant General Counsel Gov Hutchinson, our brokerage was introduced to these new forms and how to use them during a transaction.

It was an incredible way to help us stay ahead of new industry changes, and navigate the upcoming protocols for working with and representing buyers and sellers with excellence. Kudos to my California Properties brokerage family and to C.A.R. for getting ahead of the game! I love that the Olympics kicked off this week and C.A.R. is already in first place, setting the stage and solidly at the forefront of leading the country into this new era of real estate.

Basically, representatives at C.A.R. said, “Hey, we’re not waiting for these changes to happen. We’re getting ahead of this and proactively changing our processes now.”

THAT is the mark of a real estate champion! Gold medals all around, C.A.R.! I say award them the medal for first place in forms!

As a real estate professional licensed for more than thirty years in Southern California, I’m not only glad these new forms are now available but also grateful that I have a deep understanding of the current changes (they’re red lined for convenience), knowing things might — and probably will — continue to change. When transformation happens, the only way to meet it is with education, information and collaboration, just as Gov Hutchinson provided during our meeting that day.

The last thing I’d ever want to do is bring any kind of confusion into the real estate transaction – it’s complicated enough! My goal is to always stay on top of changes and be so informed about these new forms that I can always simplify the process for you, the client.

I know what my clients want: They want a stress-free and streamlined experience. Despite whatever changes may happen on the technical side of the real estate transaction, my goal is to cut through the clutter and forever help you navigate buying or selling a home through this “new normal.” Because after all, C.A.R. might have won a gold medal – first place in forms – but when you buy that home of your dreams or sell for an incredible price … you win a gold medal, too!
